Child-Centered Expertise

My career is deeply rooted in a child/person-centered approach to didactic and therapeutic processes. With over thirty years of experience, I've had the privilege of serving as an international teacher, school leader, consultant, counselor, and family-child therapist across the globe.

Working extensively with "Third Culture Kids" (TCK), I identified a recurring pattern of emotional barriers to learning. This discovery fueled my passion for deeper understanding, leading me to pursue a postgraduate degree and become an accredited Play & Creative Arts Therapist.

As a global nomad and parent of three international citizens, I have lived and worked across the world, enriched by the beauty of diverse cultures and languages that have profoundly shaped who I am today. I now call the scenic area of Lake Como, Italy, on the border with Switzerland, my home.

Each chapter of my journey has deepened my commitment to supporting children and families worldwide.

A Guide for Parents and Schools

In the Play Therapy room, children are given the opportunity to explore and understand their feelings through creative and engaging methods. This therapeutic environment allows them to express emotions, address challenges, and develop coping skills in a supportive setting.

The outcomes of Play Therapy sessions are empowering for children, as they help build confidence and self-esteem. These gains enable children to make significant progress in managing difficulties and navigating the real world more effectively.

I collaborate with parents, teachers, doctors, and psychologists who are concerned with the child's well-being to ensure a holistic approach to their support.

An initial Strengths and Difficulties Assessment is conducted to determine the number of sessions required based on the presenting issues. This number may be adjusted as therapy progresses, depending on the child’s development and needs.

I provide a confidential space where personal issues can be explored openly and safely, fostering a trusting environment for meaningful therapeutic work.
